RE:COLLECTIONS is a project by RE: for ‘Sugary Photographs with Tricks, Poses and Effects’ – A Festival on Photography that takes place in Antwerp from the 19th of March till the 4th of April. It starts from everyday, found footage that is being rethought and edited. Central theme is the recollection and the act of recollecting.

RE:COLLECTIONS is a mobile exhibition room in the form of a white trailer. During the festival the trailer will travel to several sites in Antwerp, which will become the starting point for a variety of short interventions. Part of the works on show will be developed prior to the festival, others will be realized on the spot. With the final works and interventions RE: wants to engage in a dialogue with the visitors, the citizens of Antwerp ánd the streets and squares the trailer will be visiting.

From the 14th of March untill the 19th of March (prior to the festival) we’ll stay at Madame Fortuna to work and we hope to do a few try outs. During the festival we’ll document the interventions and regularly add photos to this blog (scroll down). So keep an eye on the site and feel free to leave comments...

RE:Collections at CC Mechelen
























Tomorrow RE:Collections will be in CC Mechelen on the occassion of 'Lost Hallway'. We will be showing two different works.
The program starts at 19h, entrance is free. More info (in Dutch)below:

Lost Hallway is een concentraat van beginnende artiesten die tonen wat er binnen hun generatie leeft. Plaats dus voor ‘nieuw’ en ‘jong’. Tijd voor verrassing. Lost Hallway start met de opening van een tentoonstelling, gaat over naar kortfilm en muziek en eindigt met verschillende DJ sets.
